Rose Picking at Chart Farm (Wynberg)

Nothing says “summer” like the heavenly scent of roses in the air.

Chart Farm boasts a wide variety of roses which are well loved for their incredible fragrance.

You can choose to pick your own or select from our freshly picked. Secateurs and buckets are provided at the farmstall but it is preferable to bring your own to avoid disappointment on busy days.

The rose garden itself is fragrant and beautiful in its variety and size but what makes it exceptional and uniquely Capetonian are the vines and mountains that surround it. The hands-on engagement with the flowers is a stimulating experience and overall a relaxing activity that can be enjoyed by young and old.

The gardens consist of about 6,000 rose bushes and the farm boasts a wide variety of roses for picking, all with unique appearances and names.

You can choose from: Baronesse, Granada, Frohsinn, Lady Like, Harmony, Herero, Kristo Pienaar, Boksburg Fantasia, Double Delight, Elina, Ethel Deane, Esther Geldenhuys, Janine Herholdt, and Johannesburg Sun, to mention a few.
